"Practice and all is coming" and "99% practice and 1% theory". Two very simple, but amazingly complex statements from the founder of the Ashtanga Vinita Yoga system P. Jois. Of all the wonderful phrases or words of wisdom in the yoga world these are the ones that drive and motivates me the most, as a teacher and as a student.

Over the years I have had the honor and privilege to work and train with the some amazing teachers, David Swenson, Richard Freeman, David Williams, Danny Paradis, Beryl Bender-Birch to name a few, and of course my very first teachers, Marcia Solomon and Barry Gillespie.  All amazing teachers who have helped me on my road to yoga discovery. It amazes me, it confuses me, it frustrates me, all that makes me want more!!

But it is different for each person; they have to find their path. The more I teach the more I want to practice. The more I teach the more I realize that I've become a student forever and how much more there is to learn. It’s a wonderful thing this stuff the call yoga. But one of the most important things I have learned, as a teacher, is that teaching is not a right, it is a privilege.
